This Privacy Policy explains what information Parlay collects when you use our website and interfaces (the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have. Parlay is built on public blockchain infrastructure, so some activity is inherently public and outside our control. By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

We aim to collect as little personal information as possible. Depending on how you use the Service we may process: your public wallet address and the on chain transactions associated with it; usage and analytics data such as pages viewed, markets opened, and interactions; technical data such as IP address, approximate region, browser type, and device information; and any information you choose to send us through support or social channels.

2. Information we do not collect

We do not collect or store your private keys or seed phrase, and we never have custody of your assets. We do not require a name, email, or government identification to browse the Service in preview. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

3. On chain data is public

Transactions you sign, including stakes, predictions, and settlements, are recorded on the Base network. Blockchain data is public, permanent, and pseudonymous. Anyone can view a wallet address and its history. We cannot edit or delete on chain records. Do not assume on chain activity is private.

4. How we use information

We use information to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service; to display your activity and results; to analyse usage and performance; to detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and prohibited use including geographic restrictions; and to comply with legal obligations.

5. Cookies and analytics

We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to remember preferences and to understand how the Service is used. We may use privacy conscious analytics providers. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not function without them.

6. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers who help us operate the Service such as hosting, infrastructure, and analytics, under appropriate confidentiality obligations; with the public blockchain as described above; and where required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of the Service and its users.

7. Legal bases

Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we process personal data on the bases of our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, performance of our agreement with you, compliance with legal obligations, and, where required, your consent.

8. Data retention

We retain off chain information only for as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law, after which it is deleted or anonymised. On chain data persists on the blockchain indefinitely and is not within our control.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we process. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for securing your own wallet and devices.

10. International transfers

We may process information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

11. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us through our official channels. Note that we cannot alter or remove information recorded on a public blockchain.

12. Children

The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly process their data. If you believe a minor has provided information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above. Your continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
